VeraID · The Trust Layer

AI agents should be identifiable, authorized, and accountable.

As AI systems begin acting on behalf of people and businesses, someone needs to know who is responsible, what each agent is permitted to do, and what actually happened.

VeraID’s Trust Layer is a longer-term infrastructure direction. The capabilities described here are a vision and development roadmap unless specifically identified as available in the current product. Consulting and implementation services are available separately.

How it is designed to work

Register. Issue. Verify.

  1. 01

    Register Your Agent

Complete a structured 3-step form to register your AI agent. Provide the agent name, purpose, creator identity, and — critically — a plain-English description of what the agent is and is not permitted to do.

    • Agent name and purpose description
    • Creator name, company, and contact information
    • Permitted actions (what it can do)
    • Restrictions (what it cannot do)

    Issue Credentials

Upon registration, VeraID issues a unique credential identifier (e.g. VID-00241) and generates a public credential URL and an HTML badge snippet for use in email signatures, document footers, and message templates.

    • Unique credential ID (VID-XXXXX format)
    • Public verification URL
    • Embeddable HTML badge snippet
    • QR code for physical documents

    Verify & Trust

Anyone who receives a communication from your AI agent can instantly verify its identity by visiting the public credential page — no account required. They can see who authorized it, what it’s allowed to do, and confirm it’s an active credential.

    • Public credential page requires no login
    • Real-time verification status
    • Full activity log visibility
    • Creator identity confirmed via Stripe Identity
